After the Battle (after a little more work)

Sometimes it takes awhile to know where to go next with a painting. So this one went where most of them go when this happens. They go to the walls along the edges of the room in which I live and paint, where I can go on with work on other things while the shapes and colors, lines and focus, order and chaos, balance and trajectory of each unfinished painting can quietly work its way relentlessly into my conscious and unconscious soul, where it can ferment and grow, change and come together until, one day, the painting tells more of its story and the weight of the rough undoneness of it is balanced by the will and ability to move forward.

So this one has gotten another layer of paint, and now back to the wall it goes.
